As predicted, I had a lot of other things this week that kept me from making big progress. Bobby is home for the week, I flew Monday and Tuesday, we had a Meyers family gathering at the White Sox game Tuesday night, Kathy and I took a day trip to Oshkosh on Thursday and we had a Grand Meyers Family gathering in Streator today!
Never the less, I have great progress to report and new pictures for you to enjoy.

13 hours of building since the last post and I have all the ribs fitted to the right spars. I took the whole thing apart and all I have to do before riveting the frame together is deburr and clean all the pieces.
Unfortunately I won't have much time this week to work on it so riveting will probably still be awhile away.
Here are the pictures of this weeks efforts.

Wow, no building since 6/18/07! I did say not much building for a month, but this was more than I expected.
However, not really that bad considering. I passed my written test, took a trip with Kathy to see Bob, got sick and didn't do anything for several days, some family time while Bob was in town and I got back to flying last week and finished all of my remaining solo cross country time.
My instructor and I have started to review the practical test requirements and with just a little brush up I feel I am almost ready to take the practical.
And today - I DID SOME BUILDING!!!!!
Here are the pictures from today.
I still won't get a whole lot of building done in the next couple of weeks. I'm scheduled to fly all of this week, a couple of days next week, plus a trip to Oshkosh and the trip to the sky box for the White Sox game.
I would wait a week before checking back for any progress.

Kathy and I were miserable yesterday but seemed to turn a slight corner today. I canceled both of my flight times for today and tomorrow. We also passed on the White Sox game we had tickets for tonight.
We had a ton of stuff we were going to do with Bobby being in town but that is getting very compressed. Assuming we are up to it, we are all going to Taste of Chicago tomorrow afternoon.
I haven't even looked in the garage let alone do any building work. Monday at the earliest with the rest of the week spent flying.

Kathy and I just got back from a long weekend in Maryland visiting Bobby and with the fourth tomorrow, I won't have built or flown an airplane for a week.
All part of the plan.
I passed my written test with 95% last Wednesday so that hurdle is now out of the way. I only needed 70% of 60 questions so my score was very good. I'm scheduled to start flying again Thursday, but both Kathy and I have come back from Maryland with bad colds so I may not be feeling up to it.
I may get back into doing some light building over the weekend. If I do, I will post pictures.
