I did finish cuting all the pieces I was working on to final size and pilot drilled everything, unfortunatley, I have to take an unscheduled break from building for at least another week to tend to my daughters health.
That timeline puts me up against Kathy's scheduled break. I had already decided to take a small break then and still may, so don't expect any posts for a couple of weeks.

So on to the main spars for real. Also a little work area prep and made another tool.
Here are the pictures for the last couple of days.

I finished the rear spars today.
Then I really had fun. I attached it to the main spar I had clamped up with some of the ribs. It looks like a wing!
Here are the pictures.
I've also added a recap with some pictures highlighting all the pieces during construction

It's good the weather has turned. I was getting rusty. Today was a challenging day with the winds but good for the practice.
Not much building, but some. Some roughcut pieces got finished and pilot drilled. I have to pilot drill the rear spar and then assemble. I should be able to finish it tomorrow.

...and the first assembly is taking shape. After I set up the kit pieces in the last post, I got out the stock required to make the rear spars.
Not a lot of parts, but some funny angles on thick angle stock. With the parts mostly made. I have started to assemble a few pieces of the rear spar.
I have about a days work remaining on the rear spars. I've booked the airplane for tomorrow but it looks like it will be too windy to fly, strong winds with big gusts. It will be building or flying depending on the weather.
Here are the pictures of the rear spars starting to be assembled.

I have finished all the stuff I needed to do before starting on the wings, so today I started to get pieces out. The spar pieces in these pictures were all under the table.
The two long sheets, over 12 feet long, were rolled up together in a coil about 18 inches in diameter. The shorter sheets were on the top layer of wing skin pieces. The spar caps were on top of the leading edge skin box and stuck out a little bit near the saw at the back of the table.
This will be fun.
